Because her father participated in yacht races, she had been sailing small boats known as dinghies since childhood. She wanted to obtain a small-craft skipper's license in junior high school but was denied permission by her father; consequently, she aimed to enroll in a maritime school where she could officially earn the qualification. After enrolling, the school suggested she join the Navigation Department due to her excellent eyesight, but she firmly declined, preferring the Marine Engineering Department instead.

She is a member of a close-knit, gossip-loving quartet that includes Sakura, Runa, and Sora; the four of them often play card-based mahjong together during their free time. Her playing style relies heavily on making calls like "pon" and "chi"; while this allows her to win hands frequently, the resulting scores are often low, making her vulnerable to come-from-behind losses.

She reportedly prefers seafood-based okonomiyaki—such as shrimp or squid varieties—and considers cheese or bacon to be "heretical" toppings; however, if they are placed in front of her, she will eat them anyway, albeit while complaining.

Among the four friends, she is the one most prone to venting her complaints.
