Akane Kinesaki

Height: 156 cm (5'1")

She is the younger of a pair of twin sisters; her family runs "Kinezaki-ya," a branch of a traditional Japanese confectionery shop in Yokosuka that has been in business since the Meiji era.

She used to help out at the family shop alongside her older sister, Homare, but she grew tired of Japanese sweets—and developed a preference for Western-style pastries—after being forced to help cover up Homare's failed confectionery experiments. She is fond of a recipe book from a top-tier hotel in Yokohama.

She has a personality that makes it impossible for her to say no when Homare asks for a favor.

Like her sister Homare and her friend Mikan, she is responsible for preparing meals aboard the Harekaze. Given her background in a Japanese confectionery shop, the school requested that she serve on the Mamiya upon enrollment, but she declined the offer, just as Akane did.
