Suguru Aizawa

Kakeru Aizawa's older brother by one year; he plays as a midfielder.

A prodigy who was selected for the U-12 Japan national team at age ten and consistently competed on the world stage wearing the number 10 jersey. He is hailed as a "savior of Japanese soccer" and a "national treasure," with high expectations for his future. He possesses exceptional talent in every aspect of the game: accurately reading the flow of play, breaking through situations with superb feints, dribbling, and passing sense, and displaying clinical finishing ability. He commands an overwhelming presence on the pitch, earning him the title of the "Legendary Playmaker." These skills were the result of tireless effort rather than mere reliance on natural talent.

His dream is to wear the "Samurai Blue" jersey of the Japan national team alongside his younger brother Kakeru, his childhood friend Nana, and Hibino, and to achieve success together—specifically, to compete in and win the FIFA World Cup. Although he is stern with Kakeru—who remains unable to bounce back and had resigned himself to the role of team manager—he secretly watches over his brother and holds high hopes for his potential.

He has a very serious nature but is also gentle and kind-hearted, always smiling during practice or casual play. While he often wears a stern expression in front of Kakeru, he shows a wide range of emotions in side stories, his diary, and the recollections of those who know him well.

On the morning of November 26, while walking to school with Kakeru and harboring these hopes, he was involved in a tragic traffic accident and passed away at the age of 15. However, his heart was transplanted into Kakeru, who was hovering between life and death, carrying on Suguru's spirit and aspirations.
