The Gym Leader of the Glaseado Mountain Gym in the Paldea region. He is an Ice-type specialist and the strongest Gym Leader in the Paldea region.

His catchphrase is "Absolute Zero Trick."

He was a genius snowboarder (ranked second in the world and a six-time consecutive champion in the Paldea region)—he used to be a passionate, confident, competitive, and straightforward individual who would declare, "If anyone thinks they can beat me, I'll take on the challenge anytime! However, after a leg injury from an accident ended his athletic career, he completely shut himself off emotionally; he became cold and aloof—like ice—and grew cautious and pessimistic.

His once-confident demeanor faded away, replaced by a heightened sense of nervousness and anxiety. Having experienced such a crushing setback, he also developed a cynical side. Yet, he has not lost the fiery spirit of his competitive days; during battles, he occasionally reverts to his old, confident self, often taunting the protagonist.
