Мейко

MEIKO is the first of the Japanese VOCALOID voice synthesizers released by Crypton Future Media. Her voice was provided by Japanese singer Meiko Haigo.

MEIKO is seen as a complementary voicebank to KAITO. She is often portrayed with alcoholic beverages (most notably sake) due to her original VOCALOID1 voicebank having slurred pronunciation, causing her to sound drunk.

It is a common misconception that her surname is "Sakine", however, MEIKO does not have a surname. Sakine Meiko is a fan-made derivative character created to portray a younger version of MEIKO. While she is officially recognised by Crypton, Sakine Meiko is not considered a canon version of MEIKO.
