He is frequently exasperated by the antics of his class, but is also proud of their progress when it matters. Denzou also takes any available opportunity to crossdress when it arises, becoming Denko, his alter-ego as a woman. Early in the series, Denzou's grotesque disguise was a running joke, but has recently been portrayed as rather effective.
