A controller responsible for safety on the port side of the naval vessel Harekaze. She is distinguished by her ribbon-adorned hairstyle that reveals her forehead and her narrow eyes.

Her family runs a dry-cleaning shop in Yokosuka; she became interested in the Blue Mermaids after seeing signal flags on a ship's mast during a public viewing and thinking they looked like laundry—perhaps a sign of her slightly eccentric nature?

She is a diligent girl who studies steadily in her spare time; she gets help with mathematics—her weak subject—from Ritsuko and Kayoko of the Gunnery and Torpedo Department. She is an excellent listener, often prompting people to open up and share things they hadn't intended to reveal. Surprisingly, she is said to be the athletic type.
