Syaoran is Sakura's childhood friend. After Sakura's memories were scattered around different worlds and dimensions, Syaoran made a vow to get them back no matter what.

Following the events in Tokyo, it's revealed that this Syaoran is actually a clone of "Syaoran" Li, that was created by Fei Wong Reed with the sole purpose of collecting Sakura's feathers.
