The owner and head chef of Makabe's Western Bistro. He has a nonchalant, apathetic attitude, and doesn't care enough to deal with details. Despite his apparent lack of motivation, everyone knows that he won't put up with disobedience. He ends up hiring an unwilling Nagumo when Tatewaku tells him she offered to work for the restaurant.
